The conclusion machine

Watch a conclusion get built.

Not the finished opinion — the route to it. A Mind Loop starts before there is a conclusion, when there are only ordinary facts, and walks forward one step at a time until you can see exactly where the belief came from.

§ 02 · How to read one

Three things a straight line can’t show.

  • A fork

The line splits in front of you, one branch at a time. You feel the choice being made instead of being told about it.

  • A door that closed

The truer, smaller road that was available and wasn’t taken. It stays on screen for good — that’s what stops the whole thing reading as fate.

  • It feeds itself

The last step curves back into an early one. The output becomes the next input, and you watch the loop close.

A door that closed
